Welcome to My Creative Spirit Blog

I have a goal... I plan on feeding my creative spirit each day with exposure to different forms of art... Since the start of this course, I have been become more aware of the art around me. I find myself enjoying the art being displayed on and in public buildings, the art created by my family, and the art I find in books, on calendars, on the web; in various forms. I find that I am opening up and enjoying the "arts" more in the last few months than in previous times.

I do however, feel a special draw towards inspirational sayings, poems, and verses that speak to me and seem to give my life direction and purpose. The Bible is one of many forms of poetry, which I enjoy. It provides me with a sources of strength and power, where poetry is used to express a strong clear message, sometimes beautiful and sometimes harsh, at all times true. God Bless!

About Me

I am currently in the second year of my Bachelors of Education degree. It has so far been a very rewarding journey. I have laughed, cried, and reflected over the last two years in ways that I haven't really experienced in the past. During this journey, I have been blessed with a fantastic cohort who have proven to assist and lift up each other no matter what! And for this, I am grateful. Blessings everyone.

Chrildren's Art Show

Wow, once again I am impressed by the collaboration of our cohort. Cathy, with the cooperation of the IT department, produced a beautiful pamphlet, which will be treasured by all the students (and their families) that attended the art show. The beautiful banner, created by Flo, Erin, Amber (and possibly more people), was absolutely stunning and a sign of dedication toward the success of the show. Zakkiya and Linda provided us with beautiful flowers and tasty candies. Dan,Lisa, and Ryan made sure that the show was well photographed, which made our guest feel like celebrities. Megan, Scott, Lara, and Andrew (again, there could have been more) kept our guest well fed and hydrated. As a whole our class greeted guests, moved chairs, set-up the show, served and entertained guests.

I contributed along side my colleagues by setting up chairs, rounding up stray visitors, entertaining those who came [including seven of my students along with their families], handing out pamphlets, touring students, etc. I believe that, all-in-all, we learned a lot and enjoyed the production of an Art Show....I know my students felt like celebrities. Good job everyone!!
